Salt & Sky
Salt & Sky depicts the salt fields of Useless Loop in Western Australia. These fields are based within the UNESCO Heritage site of Shark Bay and exhibit a collision between the natural process of salt evaporation and dramatic human intervention for commodification purposes. Photographed from above, the salt ponds and harvested fields create graphic compositions with painterly textures in ice-cream hues, each pond shifting color with each new stage of evaporation.
